Outside Paradise, Angel's attempt to crack it was still underway.

Meanwhile, Dox stood to one side, chatting quietly with Kael, a world apart from the busy Angel nearby.

In truth, Dox and Kael had not been chatting at the beginning.

At the time, when Angel said, "I can give it a try," and began cracking the spatial seal shrouding Paradise, Dox and Kael had been terrified of disturbing him. They scarcely even dared breathe, much less speak.

It was not until Angel took the initiative to break the silence that the stiff, formal atmosphere around them finally dissipated.

Angel had not broken the silence specifically to ease the mood, however. He had wanted to consult Kael about some knowledge of spatial structures.

Yes, consult. And the person he was consulting was none other than the apprentice Kael.

Angel did know a great deal about space, but that knowledge had come from Spotty Dog rather than his own studies. Thus, his knowledge ranged from the shallow to the profound, with some of its deeper aspects even surpassing the limits of the Southern Region.

Yet because Angel had only passively received and absorbed it, without truly putting it into practice, he was still a novice when it came to applying that knowledge.

He was somewhat like a child sitting on a treasure hoard. He could understand the value of the treasures, but he lacked the ability to take them out and use them.

With Angel's current reserves of knowledge, he could certainly crack this spatial seal. The only question was how long it would take—several hours, several days, or perhaps even years.

To speed things up, Angel thought of a method: he would use the cracking process as practice while asking Kael about his practical experience.
