Augustine had previously considered having Adanis follow Angel, but Adanis had refused without hesitation. Later, Augustine had made it clear that if Adanis did not follow Angel, then she could only follow Black Earl.
The reason was that a part of Adanis's true body was missing, and that part was in Margaret's hands.
And Margaret was currently at the Noah Branch in the Source World.
If Adanis wanted to go to the Noah Branch in the Source World, she either had to follow Angel, who possessed Augustine's exclusive anchor point, or follow Black Earl, with whom she shared a bloodline connection.
Even if she followed neither of them, the "attraction of the body" would compel her to head toward the Source World of her own accord.
By then, if she trespassed into the Noah Branch without proof of entry, the magic array there would grind her into dust.
And because part of Adanis's body was missing, she would frequently fall into slumber. The frequency would only grow higher, until in the end she slept forever... Unless she restored herself completely, this flaw would remain with her.
That was also why, after weighing her options, Adanis had chosen to follow Black Earl.
After confirming the reason behind Adanis's slumber, Black Earl was relieved as well. He asked, "About how long until she wakes up?"
Olao said, "It's hard to say. Over the past thousand years, Adanis's periods of slumber have varied in length. The longest lasted two months; the shortest, she woke after two days. Going by the average duration, it should be around half a month."
Black Earl nodded in understanding. Half a month was fine. Even two months was not long and would not delay anything.
