With Oil Badger's talent, having him refine essential oil was not hard to accept. But essential oils were generally used in fragrances. What did Lord Pat need essential oil for?

Under Saliel's stunned gaze, Angel conjured a page covered in writing with illusion and handed it to Oil Badger. "I need you to use the materials listed here to distill an essential oil."
Oil Badger took the page and looked it over. It listed more than twenty materials in a sprawling array. The first five were presumably the main ingredients; Angel had circled them in red and marked their approximate amounts, while none of the materials after them had any quantities noted.
"Can this essential oil really be used?" Oil Badger looked at the main ingredients, his expression hesitant.
Nonflammable Oil Foam from Stink Mustard, Mottled-Bark Oil from Marsh Juniper, Dead-Butterfly Taro, Ghost Dutchman's-Pipe Mushroom, Wan-Character Leaf Gourd Skin... Just these five materials alone made Oil Badger's scalp go numb.
