Accompanied by Little Red's delighted cry, the Login Device design she had molded within the Nightmare Illusion cloud finally appeared before Angel.
As expected, what Little Red had molded was a pair of cat ears.
In the image presented by Nightmare Illusion, the cat ears were extremely similar to Angel's own—likewise small, exquisite red cat ears.
However, unlike the cat ears on Angel's head, whose fur lay smoothly against them, the fur on the cat ears Little Red had molded was anything but sleek. Inch by inch, fluffy crimson down stood out from them, making them look from afar like red sea urchins with their spines raised.
There was another difference. The cat ears Little Red had molded were smaller, but at each tip was an ahoge roughly ten centimeters long.
"Is this the cat-ear Login Device you had in mind?" Angel looked at the ears, finding them strangely familiar. They looked rather like miniature lynx ears.
Little Red nodded obediently. "Yes, I like these cat ears. It should like them too."
As long as it liked them, Little Red felt it counted as "keeping it company," perhaps making it feel less alone.
Angel said, "...Why do you think it will like them?"
Could it be that, beyond analyzing information, Little Red could also infer things from existing information? Otherwise, why was she so certain that it would like them?
Yet the answer Little Red gave to Angel's question was not nearly so complicated.
Tilting her head and blinking her big eyes, Little Red said, "Because I like them."
At first, Angel did not understand what Little Red meant. It was only after asking further that he grasped her logic. In Little Red's eyes, "liking" was something shared.
She felt that since she liked them, it should like them too.
