Chapter 3326: The Vanished Pointed Fruit
"Are mice being afraid of cats not perfectly normal? How could that be worth discussing for so long?" Hound Butler muttered under his breath. "More importantly, I'm curious why Angel suddenly took it out."
As he spoke, Hound Butler swayed forward on half-drunken steps, trying to get a closer look at the little mouse.
But before Hound Butler had taken more than a few steps, Nakbi in the cage puffed up its fur again and began racing frantically around inside.
This time, it darted about even more wildly. Even after crashing into the edge of the cage, it would scramble back up, change direction, and keep running.
Seeing this, Luigi sighed, stepped in front of Hound Butler, and incidentally blocked Nakbi's view as well.
Once Nakbi could no longer see Hound Butler, it calmed down slightly. Yet its milky-white fur remained bristled, because Hound Butler's faint but lingering scent in the air had not truly vanished, leaving it terrified.
Looking at Nakbi's timid, cautious movements, then at Hound Butler's stiff expression, Luigi said flatly, "Don't take it to heart. As you said, mice being afraid of cats is normal. By the same logic, isn't it normal for mice to be afraid of dogs too?"
Hearing his own familiar words come from Luigi's mouth, Hound Butler's expression darkened. Still, he had no way to refute him, because Luigi was right. The proof was right there in Nakbi's reaction.
"What a coward." Hound Butler stared at the mouse cage, muttered a few curses, then returned to the vicinity of the dog-paw pillow. "You're scared of even me. If you ever encounter a snake, an owl, or a mouse-eating weasel, won't you be scared to death on the spot?"
Hearing Hound Butler's complaint, Luigi rubbed his chin
