Laplace stepped closer and took a good look.
"This fruit... really is a Text Creation."
Laplace stared at the floating text in some surprise: Yellowwater Berry: Fruit of the Yellowwater Mulberry. Tart and juicy; can be eaten with sugar. Specially improved fruit tree; harvested once a month, with a yield of fifty jin per tree.
The orange-yellow fruit was called a Yellowwater Berry.
What caught Laplace's attention was that, in a sense, it was... a living text creation.
And an exceptional one at that.
As far as Laplace knew, Eya had long since developed all kinds of living text creations, including animals and plants.
But Eya's research into living text creations followed an evolutionary path from simple to complex.
For instance, when studying invertebrates, he would start with the simplest sponges and amoebas, then work his way through hydras and blood flukes before reaching roundworms and segmented worms, one step at a time.
Plants were no different.
Research into text plants had progressed much faster than research into text animals, but fruit-bearing trees still represented the pinnacle of Eya's work on text plants.
In other words, Eya had created the Text Space but had managed to produce only a few text fruit trees in the outside world. Yet the Wonderland Authority had produced a perfect one here.
In terms of efficiency, it was far ahead of Eya.
And just look at the Yellowwater Berry's description... It ended after two simple sentences, one of which described its yield.
That was far shorter than Eya's descriptions of text fruit trees.
Outside, the description of each text fruit tree was no shorter than that of the Text Earthworm they had seen before. That worm's description had been so densely packed it nearly covered the entire display.
That alone showed how concise the Yellowwater
