Angel took a round stool and placed the hide scroll inscribed with magic patterns on it.
Kesha looked at the magic-patterned hide scroll on the stool and asked, "I just need to stand on it?"
Angel said, "Sitting works too."
Without another word, Kesha floated directly onto the stool.
Once she had steadied herself, Kesha asked again, "And then? Should I start releasing my restraint on my soul power now?"
Under normal circumstances, whether they were death spirits or undead, they would instinctively control their soul power, keeping it contained within their spirit bodies.
To them, restraining soul power was like breathing for humans—an unconscious action. Even without conscious thought, they could keep it under control.
Releasing that restraint on soul power, on the other hand, required deliberate control.
Once the restraint was released, soul power would slowly seep out from within the spirit body. The process was very slow, difficult for outsiders to observe; only the spirit body itself could perceive it.
That was why Angel had to find souls capable of communication.
Otherwise, he would have no way of confirming whether soul power was actually leaking away.
Angel said, "Not yet. The magic pattern needs energy to activate it. Once I activate it, then you can release your restraint on the magic pattern."
Kesha nodded and stood motionless on the stool, like a mannequin.
After all, however simple it was, this was still an experiment.
Kesha was afraid that she might cause the experiment to fail, so she became so stiff and uncomfortable that she did not even know where to put her hands and feet.
Only a few seconds later, when Angel activated the magic-patterned hide scroll with magic power and gestured to her, did Kesha recover herself.
