"Thud—"
A thunderous boom came from the lakeshore ten meters away.
It was called a lakeshore, but in truth it was also smooth, level Crystal Shell. The tremendous sound had been made when a figure landed and braked with his hand—and his handbrake was... a long-handled warhammer.
The hammerhead struck the ground, producing that thunderous crash.
The Crystal Shell ground visibly caved in, spiderweb cracks spreading across it. Yet before long, the cracks slowly healed, and even the sunken crater returned to perfect smoothness.
Clearly, the Crystal Shell used for the ground possessed an attribute similar to memory restoration.
When Angel and the others flew down to the shore, the figure who had slammed the weapon into the ground also walked toward them.
"Astrologer Granny!" The newcomer vigorously waved one hand in greeting while resting the long-handled warhammer on his shoulder with the other.
He looked utterly relaxed, as though what rested on his shoulder was not a massive hammer, but a lump of cotton.
"Napoli, you came." Upon seeing him, Gleipnir lightly nodded, and her tone noticeably softened.
Even Angel was somewhat surprised by that attitude.
After all, Gleipnir was usually curt with everyone. Why was she so polite to this person?
Could he be a "senior" like Lord Eya?
But judging from her words and behavior, Gleipnir was not treating him as a "senior." In other words, he was very likely a junior.
Could he be Guta Lace's junior?
That was the only possibility Angel could think of. Guta Lace was Gleipnir's close friend, so it made sense that she would be gentler toward her junior.
Angel turned his gaze toward the newcomer.
Because of the backlight earlier, Angel had not been able to clearly see the man's features. He could only tell that he was extremely brawny.
