Angel left Carnival.
He made his way without obstruction to a building whose name he had not paid attention to, then boarded an intercity shuttle train on its fifteenth floor.
Unlike Gleipnir and the others, Angel did not sit in the recessed exterior of the train. He boldly walked straight into one of the carriages.
The people around him, including the patrolling mechanical police dogs, completely ignored him.
The reason was naturally... illusion.
Angel had concealed all traces of his presence, heat, and light and shadow. From beginning to end, he had hidden himself within a phantom. No one could see him, and naturally, no one would notice him.
There were not many people in the carriages. Several cars were even completely empty.
Angel chose a window seat in an empty carriage and sat down.
He had chosen the window seat intending to enjoy the scenery of Modern City from the elevated view of the intercity train.
