Under the influence of Nightmare Illusion, no one questioned Angel's claims.
They even remained rational, following Angel's line of thought. Of course, that rationality stemmed from Angel's suppression of their emotions. With the apocalypse looming before them, letting their emotions run wild might have caused panic to spread.

Connors said, "If things are truly as you say, sir, then there shouldn't be a problem with us discussing containment measures, should there?"
Angel glanced at Connors. "There's no need to discuss it. No matter how you contain it, even if you lock down the entire care center, it'll still be useless."
Connors asked in confusion, "Why? Is the lockdown not airtight enough?"
Angel did not explain that he had already sealed the place once with Nightmare Illusion. Instead, he took the opportunity to say, "There's nothing wrong with containment itself, but it's already too late for you to contain it now."
