Before he had entered the Modern City instance, when he had merely viewed it from the perspective of the Box Garden,
Angel had thought fashion magic was a very niche magical system. Its magical abilities were not particularly powerful, leaning more toward daily life and support.
But once Angel truly entered Modern City and began trying to engage with fashion magic, he realized his previous impression might have been wrong.
Fashion magic did indeed lean more toward daily life and support, but some abilities within this energy system simply defied all basic logic.
Take the wizard system. From laying foundations to raising beams, from frameworks to filling them in, everything came step by step.
Even if one ultimately built a wonder like the Tower of Babel that pierced the heavens, there would still be a traceable path leading to it.
But fashion magic was different. Its energy system was more like jagged, soaring floating mountains—magnificent and grand, yet with no discernible underlying logic from the surface.
One laid a solid foundation; the other was a castle in the air.
Take Traffic Insight, for example. On the surface, it was ultimately just a "person-finding" art. But if one dug deeper, it could absolutely be called an "art of fate."
The wizard system also had spells capable of touching upon "fate," but such spells all began with the lowest-grade tricks. Future Enumeration Method, Pathfinding Art, Lucky Either-Or, Starlight Guidance... They advanced step by step, moving from tricks into the realm of spells before ultimately touching "fate."
But the fashion magic system was not like that. Even its most basic ability, "Traffic Insight," already involved "fate."
Even if the connection was shallow, it was still fate.
How could Angel not be astonished by fashion magic?
And that was not all. The Scene Creation
