Angel crossed aerial corridors spanning one skyscraper after another and, beneath the shifting reflections of neon lights, arrived at the train platform in the South Third District.
Just as he stepped onto the platform, the train pulled in.
A man in orange techwear and goggles got off the train. He walked to the corridor map on the platform, looking left and right as though confirming his route.
Before he could finish figuring it out, though, he felt someone lightly tap his shoulder from behind.
He turned around in confusion. Before he could see who it was, a voice sounded beside his ear. "Let's talk on the train."
"Huh?"
The goggle-wearing man froze for a moment, then saw the young man who had spoken turn around and head toward the very train he had just gotten off.
"You're the one Minister Lizi sent me to find..."
"That's right, it's me. Get on first, or we'll have to wait for the next one."
The goggle-wearing man was still rather dazed and had not grasped the situation. He instinctively replied, "But... but my ticket has already been punched."
"Don't worry. Just follow me. You won't need a ticket this time."
Amid the goggle-wearing man's startled suspicion, they successfully boarded the circular city train. This time, the conductor truly did not ask to inspect his ticket. He did not even glance at him, as though he did not exist at all!
