Once the ringing in his ears eased slightly, he heard a soft, rustling sound of dripping water, like an endless drizzle.
Angel looked up just as a droplet landed on his face.
From that upward angle, he saw that, amid the falling dust, the cracks in the stained-glass windows were growing larger and larger. The droplets were seeping through those cracks.

The sound of splitting followed.
"..." It looked like he had overdone it a little.
Beyond those windows lay the pitch-black Hidden Waters. If it came flooding in, this place would be ruined.
Angel did not particularly care whether the Underwater Church was destroyed, but he worried that if something went wrong with it, the formation below might fail as well. Would the entrance and exit of the Dark Corner be affected too?
