Looking back, taking five days to produce a Faith Crystal was not bad.
After all, the Dark Corner Entrance was unlike other places. It had no "entrance" in the usual sense, and there was no strict limit on how many people could enter.
Each time the formation was activated,
anyone inside the Sacred Eye Prayer Convergence Formation, no matter how many there were, might catch the Dark Corner's attention and be swallowed along with everyone else.
So a Faith Crystal was not a ticket for one person. It was a ticket for a whole team.
One team trip every five days was a decent deal.
Besides, the reason a Faith Crystal took five days to form was simply that the power of faith was not concentrated enough.
If the faith spread more widely through Modern City, or if the believers came to pray near Companion Star Lake, the crystals would surely form faster.
So there were ways to change the one-crystal-every-five-days situation.
For now, though, that pace was enough. He could think about speeding it up once Modern City was fully open and more Challengers had joined in.
Angel returned to the Underwater Church.
He had not brought the Faith Marker back. He intended to leave it on the pressure plate so it could keep forming Faith Crystals.
As for keeping it safe, Angel was not too worried. With Nightmare Illusion protecting it, there was little chance of anything going seriously wrong.
Just in case, though, Angel told Luliana about it and asked her to keep an eye on it from time to time.
Luliana agreed.
Next, Angel prepared to activate the Faith Crystal in his hand and take a look inside the Dark Corner.
Before that, however, he made sure to ask Luliana and Doros what they knew about
