After Angel logged off and stepped out of the Illusion Cottage, he heard a series of heavy thuds at his ear, accompanied by the howl of wind.
He looked toward the source and saw the warehouse doors thrown open. Among the crystal puppets carrying goods, a figure darted out at high speed.
The light from outside fell upon him, outlining a golden silhouette against the glare.
He was a burly man with a long-handled warhammer taller than a person strapped to his back. Taking three steps as two, he rushed toward the Illusion Cottage.
A moment later, the man stopped before Angel amid hearty laughter.
"I'd only just logged off, and you already got the news?"
Angel raised a brow at the man before him. It was Napoli, the temporary manager of this Artifact Embryo Factory.
Napoli chuckled and pointed at a one-legged crystal puppet in a distant corner. "I had it keep an eye on this place. If there was any movement at the door, it would send me a message."
After saying that, Napoli hurriedly added, apparently worried Angel might misunderstand, "It only kept watch this time... because the situation was urgent. I don't have it watching at other times."
