"Mr. Angel, did you use that 'item' just now?"
After leaving the valley, Angel checked the time. There were about ten minutes left before the meeting. With nothing else to do, he took Gabriel to Text Manor.
The moment they entered, Gabriel could not hold back his question.
Gabriel was curious about the secret behind the Hero Dungeon, but only curious. What he cared about more was the "item" Angel had mentioned, the one that could uncover a dungeon's secrets.
When Angel touched the statue, Gabriel had watched him closely from behind. He wanted to know what kind of item could peer into a dungeon.
But Angel had not seemed to use any item at all. Gabriel's curiosity only grew.
Had he used it? How? Had it worked? What had it revealed?
Most importantly...
Could Gabriel borrow it someday?
Angel had clearly refused before, but he had not said he would refuse forever. Maybe he would lend it to him in the future.
Whether he could borrow it or not, Gabriel was fascinated by the "item."
Angel glanced at him and finally nodded. "I did."
"You really did?" Gabriel's mouth fell open. "How did I miss it completely?"
"I called it up directly from the Text Panel. It's only natural that you couldn't see it," Angel said calmly.
"Then... then did you find anything strange about the Hero Dungeon?" Gabriel had meant to ask what the "item" was. But just as the words reached his lips, Angel's icy gaze seemed to cut toward him like a knife. Frightened, he hastily changed his question.
"We'll talk in a moment." Angel did not answer right away. Instead, he headed toward the Big Mary Rose Garden outside the manor.
