Angel had barely left the Hero Dungeon area when he saw Yifuda striding quickly toward him.
"Mr. Angel, please come with me."
Leading a squad of Crystal-Eyed Race guards, Yifuda cleared a path for Angel as she guided him toward the site of the awakening ceremony.
The farther they went, the denser the crowds around them became.
As far as the eye could see, the mountains and plains were covered with Crystal-Eyed Race people.
Still, compared to the tide-like crowds from that afternoon, things were somewhat better now. At least the Crystal-Eyed Race guards could still clear an unobstructed route; that afternoon, let alone clearing a path, even if Elder Yota himself had entered the sea of people, he likely would not have caused the slightest ripple before being swallowed by the crowd in an instant.
When Angel reached the foot of the mountain where the awakening ceremony was being held, the sight before him gave him a slight start.
From afar, he had assumed those neon-like flickering luminous crystals were decorations the Crystal-Eyed Race had added to the awakening ceremony. In fact, they were lights spontaneously cradled in the palms of every Crystal-Eyed Race person.
They held the crystals to their chests, praying devoutly toward the altar.
Under the night sky, every countless point of light represented a Crystal-Eyed Race person's faith in their forebears.
And despite such an enormous crowd gathered throughout the valley and mountains, there was no clamor. It was as still as a cloudless night. Everyone silently understood to keep quiet, praying inwardly from the depths of their hearts.
This alone showed that the ceremony's rites had been branded deep into the blood and souls of the Crystal-Eyed Race.
Even though this was only a temporary awakening ceremony, there was not the slightest trace of
