When he had examined the Instance through the Box Garden's perspective, he hadn't found any map beyond the cave.
Based on past experience, Angel would probably have concluded that there wasn't one.

Wonderland Authority had been getting increasingly inventive lately.
Special spaces like the Hidden Waters in Modern City and The White Town in the Oil Painting Space were impossible for Angel to discover, even with his god's-eye view, before they connected to their main Instances.
So he couldn't be certain the Window Dungeon contained only the cave map.
