When Angel entered, Edward was handling a massive "sea urchin."
He plucked the "sea urchin's" feelers out one by one and placed them into a collection dish beside him. Each time he pulled out a feeler, he doused it with some unknown blood, rendering the constantly struggling feeler inert before moving on to the next.
Without question, these plucked feelers would become raw materials for Edward's wigs.
"What is that..." Though Angel had only glanced at it from afar, he still recognized the "sea urchin." "...A Chaotic Evil Maw?"
Chaotic Evil Maws were one of the common Mirror Ghosts in the Dark Mirror Domain, and also Gabriel's kin.
"You're here? Mm, that's right, it's a Chaotic Evil Maw." Edward had heard the footsteps outside long ago. Without lifting his head, he continued plucking feelers. "Wait a moment. Just two left."
Edward sped up. In less than half a minute, he had pulled out both feelers, then swiftly drenched them in the unknown blood. Only after seeing that the feelers had stopped moving did he let out a sigh of relief.
He carefully put away the collection dish, then took a wig from the display case that looked like transparent modeling clay and slapped it over the Chaotic Evil Maw's head.
The next second, the enormous sea urchin, roughly two meters tall, visibly shrank. Moments later, it had turned into a palm-sized "figurine."
Edward took out a glass cabinet meant for sealing, placed the figurine-shaped Chaotic Evil Maw inside, and returned it to the display case. Only then did he pat the faint dust from his hands. "Done!"
After finishing all that, Edward finally turned to Angel.
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
"Gleipnir said you were looking for me, so I hurried offline.
