After passing through several branching passages, they continued down the stairs illuminated by fluorite.
At last, they reached the deepest part of the Keye Mining Area.
An incomparably vast underground space.
This underground cavern could even accommodate an entire town. Not only was it enormous, but its ceiling was covered in clusters of crystallized fluorite, like a river of stars gathered from countless specks of starlight.
Dreamlike, brilliant, breathtaking!
At the very center of this space stood a broad platform that had clearly been artificially constructed.
The platform was built from countless square marble tiles. The pure-white block tiles gave off a sense of elegance and purity.
There were no railings on the platform, nor were there any other structures. It simply sat embedded in the heart of the cavern like an enlarged Go board.
And Nereid—the main target Angel and the others had come to hunt—was currently sleeping atop that pure-white platform.
Though Nereid had yet to awaken, its sheer size was evident even while it lay prone.
Its body was at least twenty meters long. Its broad wings drooped to the ground, magma dripping from beneath their fleshy membranes.
The dragon horns atop its head rose like proud banners, exuding a faint frosty mist. From time to time, snowflakes could be seen flashing through that mist.
With every breath it took, azure whirlwinds slowly curled across the platform.
Even while asleep, Nereid had inadvertently displayed three elements. Such an unconscious display would absolutely leave first-time visitors trembling in fear.
But it was useless against the three present.
Even Gray Porcelain did not find it particularly frightening.
That was mainly thanks to Angel's previous "sea-of-problems tactics."
All fear stemmed from the unknown. After fighting Nereid so many times, Gray Porcelain's awe of it had long since faded, and courage
