Angel and Gray Porcelain exchanged a glance, then nodded to each other.
"I'll go first."
Angel stepped onto the ribbon of light winding up before them. It felt like stepping on glass, solidly supported without the slightest sense of floating.
Gray Porcelain followed as well. It was clearly a little timid, and only let out a breath of relief after confirming that its feet were firmly planted.
"Let's go. Unless something unexpected happens, the All-Knowing Prison Hall should be at the end of this road."
Angel had thought they would need to walk along the ribbon of light for some time. After all, judging by the visible distance, the starting point of their ribbon was still far from the pillar of light.
But in reality, they had not walked for long.
The ribbon beneath their feet seemed to come with its own teleportation jump. With every step Angel and Gray Porcelain took, the scenery around them became like frames rapidly rewinding, instantly flung behind them.
In just two steps, they crossed two Flying Book Roads in succession.
A few seconds later, they had traversed half the layer of void and arrived beside the pillar of light.
When they reached the vicinity of the pillar, they found vague figures appearing on the other two ribbons of light as well. The blurriness lasted only an instant before becoming clear the next second.
They were Gabriel and Rabbit Girl.
"So this is what we look like when we cross space?" Gray Porcelain murmured. First a blurred figure, then a solid body.
One step across a thousand meters, first illusion, then substance.
"We just got here, and I heard you muttering. What are you muttering about?" Gabriel's voice came from the other side of the ribbon of light.
"We're about to face the ultimate
