After helping Angel complete the "map recognition" trial, Rabbit Girl turned and stepped into the second oil painting.
The scene in this painting was a pool filled with an unknown liquid.
When her figure merged into the painting, she landed right at the edge of the pool.
She looked around and found herself inside a sealed cavern. The surroundings were empty and desolate, with no living creatures in sight—not even half a blade of wild grass.
The entire cavern was pitch-black. Only the pool before her emitted a faint bluish glow, serving as the sole source of light.
She knew that many oceans across the planes contained luminous algae, including varieties that gave off blue light. But the glow of those algae always flickered on and off, like fireflies flashing in the night, carrying a fine, restless pulse.
Yet the light from this pool was completely different. It was not scattered flickers against a black backdrop; the entire pool glowed, as though the water itself had condensed from light.
Even before stepping into the painting, she had felt a vague strangeness about this pool. It had always seemed like some kind of radioactive wastewater.
Now that she was experiencing it in person, that feeling became increasingly clear.
She could distinctly sense a faint yet continuous energy radiation, and its source was precisely this blue-glowing pool.
"If nothing unexpected happens, the riddle in this painting should be the pool."
Her intuition told her that the strangest pool in the entire cavern had to be where the riddle lay. But just to be safe, she still circled the cavern once.
Only after confirming there were no abnormalities did she return to the glowing pool.
The pool's radiance was not strong, but because it was "self-luminous," staring at it still made her pupils
