"Where will I go?"
When the Decayer reached the final question, it stopped.
If it had occasionally been lost over the previous questions, unsure how to answer, then with this final question, it simply did not know whether it should answer at all.
After all, the Pleasure Pavilion Master was beside it.
It did not want to reveal its plans concerning the "future."
But Nomephins was still looking down at it with those indifferent eyes... Thinking that if it refused to answer, it might not be allowed to leave, it finally spoke.
"...Does someone like me still have a future?"
Hearing that answer, the Pleasure Pavilion Master cast it a sympathetic look.
Nomephins, however, scoffed. "A future without a future is still a kind of future. But I do not think you have no future."
Nomephins' response made the Decayer understand that trying to muddle through with a pitiful line like that was impossible.
It fell silent for a moment before speaking again. "By all rights, having sunk deep into nothingness, I truly no longer have a future. Yet I desperately long to have one."
"If I must put it into words, perhaps rebuilding Prussia Civilization and guiding civilization so it no longer repeats the same mistakes is the future I envision..."
Nomephins still voiced the aspiration in its heart, but it blurred certain key details, such as the Deep Dream Angel had mentioned, and those Prushans who had already been reborn.
If this information were exposed, and the Pleasure Pavilion Master awakened and told the Cruel Scholar, He would certainly notice something amiss.
Thus, it could only wrap the corner of the future it had already glimpsed in "longing" and "envisioning," then recount it.
On the other side, after hearing this, the Pleasure Pavilion Master indeed gave it little
