Angel turned to Lawrence beside him. Leaning on a slender ebony cane, Lawrence wore an elegant gentleman's suit that accentuated his lean, upright frame. The black wide-brimmed hat on his head concealed most of his eyes and brows. Though time had carved wrinkles into his face, he remained remarkably spirited.
Lawrence raised a hand, removed his hat, and gently shook off the fine rain clinging to its brim. His movements were unhurried, and his tone calm and composed. "Which aspect would you like to ask about, sir?"
Angel said, "Any aspect is fine. Say whatever comes to mind."
Lawrence lowered his eyes and pondered for a moment. "I have never personally dealt with Merlin, but Luigi has met him several times."
"Luigi?"
"That's right." Lawrence nodded. "Luigi often stayed in Unfallen King City. He had a regular performance venue there and had been invited several times to perform at the royal city's celebrations."
"And for a period of time, Merlin oversaw Unfallen King City's internal affairs. He happened to be in charge of entertainment celebrations and performance approvals."
"So, the two of them had dealings with each other."
