Why was he so sure an opportunity would come?
Because it was Wonderland Authority, not Luigi, that handled changes to an instance's main storyline.
If it were up to Luigi, he might well miss the opportunity, since he had no idea what it was. Wonderland Authority was different. As the true source of the main storyline, it would never let that storyline stall halfway, much less allow an instance it had created to become a "train on a dead-end track" that could never reach its destination.
Under those circumstances, Wonderland Authority would inevitably seek out an opportunity to move the main storyline forward.
So Luigi did not need to worry too much.
After all, Luigi had not caused the change on his own. It was the result of circumstances and timing working together. In other words, he had done nothing wrong.
And if it was not his fault, the responsibility for advancing the main storyline did not fall on him.
Luigi looked thoughtful. "You mean I don't actually have to do anything right now?"
Angel nodded. "That's right. If you want, you can do nothing at all and simply wait for the opportunity to arrive."
Luigi let out a long breath. "Then... all right."
Angel had another thought: Luigi could try to keep creating changes, since changes might also bring the opportunity closer. But after considering it, he kept quiet.
Most of the previous changes in the Uriel Instance had appeared by accident.
Trying to create them deliberately might not work at all.
Better to say nothing and let Luigi carry on as he pleased. Who knew? More changes might come on their own.
"All right, that's all I have to say for now." Angel stretched and adjusted his sitting position outside the instance. "I won't keep watching your side.
