Witch's Delivery had ended.
But the lingering echoes the story had left behind still drifted through Moon Dew's heart.
She stood quietly where she was for a long, long time.
Her mind kept replaying what she had just experienced—the city with its striking style, the blue skies and white clouds, and Qiqi, so clear-eyed and brimming with life...
She knew it was all a false illusion, created by the big brother before her.
But even knowing it was an illusion, she had still become immersed in it.
For the first time, she had become immersed in a story.
And then...
She let out a huge yawn...
After all, this was a bedtime story. Feeling sleepy after hearing one was perfectly reasonable.
And besides, she understood her mother a little better now.
Ever since long ago, her mother had had the habit of listening to bedtime stories. Those fairy sisters would come into her dreams every day and tell her stories.
After her mother left, she had respected her mother's instructions and developed the habit of listening to bedtime stories too.
But she had never really cared much for the habit herself, because they were always the same old fairy tales. They were certainly sleep-inducing enough, but not liking them was not liking them.
Until today.
The story Big Brother had brought her made her realize that bedtime stories could be played with like this; that bedtime stories could be this interesting!
If every bedtime story were like this, then she understood why her mother had loved them so much.
Of course, her mother had not had such illusions back then.
But every generation had its own bedtime stories. The bedtime stories her generation wanted should be like this!
Moon Dew was already starting to look forward to tomorrow's bedtime story.
