A few minutes later, Angel arrived near the north city gate.
At the intersection of a street called Rivet Street, he spotted Luigi waving frantically at him.
"Angel, over here!"
After they met up, Luigi led Angel toward their destination while turning into a full-time complainer, relentlessly roasting their explorations of the previous two anomalous coordinate points.
Although Luigi had already complained about all this during their earlier voice transmissions, he apparently felt that complaints delivered face-to-face, complete with gestures, packed more punch.
By the time he finished complaining, they had arrived at their destination.
"It's here." Luigi pointed ahead.
Angel followed his finger and saw a little bookshop. It had no signboard, only a crumpled cloth curtain with the words "Tungus Little Bookshop" written on it.
Through the open door, he could see that the interior was equally messy. There was even a bed with its blankets left unmade. It looked like a small bookshop workshop converted from someone's private residence.
Once they stepped inside, however, that slapdash, shoestring-operation impression faded somewhat.
Though the shop was cluttered and cramped, the books themselves had been very neatly sorted and arranged. Aside from the bed taking up a bit of space, every other place where something could be set down was filled with books.
Clearly, the owner was someone who loved and cherished books. They simply lived rather carelessly themselves.
And amid this little room overflowing with a sea of books was something exceptionally conspicuous—
A pink-and-blue pointed hat.
It floated above one of the bookshelves. From outside, it looked like an ornament, but once inside, one could see that it was not touching the shelf at all. It was completely suspended in midair.
"This is the anomaly point?"
"Mm." Luigi nodded. "Try touching it."
Angel stepped forward and lightly touched
