Granny Tang and Cocorosa exchanged a glance, as if communicating with their eyes.
After a moment, Granny Tang asked tentatively, "Do you mean the Gourmet Creation Method?"
Angel was puzzled. "What does the Gourmet Creation Method refer to?"
Granny Tang gave him a brief explanation.
With Gourmet Force, Gourmet Wizards could turn barren soil into fluffy pastry and a severed stream into a bubbling flow of honey.
Those with greater power could even create things from nothing: trees bearing candied berries, vines hung with bread, and sacs that released milk when their skins were cut...
Gourmet Force was involved in all of it, either transforming something that already existed or conjuring something new from thin air.
Angel thought it over carefully. None of that seemed to be what he meant.
He had asked because he happened to think of Gloria, which reminded him of Toby, his old companion whom he had not seen in ages. Curiosity had prompted the question.
Gloria could indeed perform the Gourmet Creation Method Granny Tang described. But that was entirely different from the Fragment Mayflies and Twisted Baworms sold by the Barbie Restaurant...
And Toby was another matter altogether.
"I don't mean that kind," Angel said. "I mean Genesis with a functional purpose."
"Functional Genesis?" Granny Tang did not understand at first.
"For example," Angel said, "there's a kind of Fragment Mayfly that can be used to open a new two-way passage in a stable plane."
Granny Tang and Cocorosa frowned slightly. "...Are you sure you're talking about gourmet food?"
