The second hot topic at the tea party was also about Feng Man and Gu Yina, though this time there was an additional character involved: Duru.

After Angel had settled Feng Man and Gu Yina in, he had told Duru about them. Since they would all be members of Savage Cave in the future, it was naturally best if they could get in touch and communicate beforehand.

What he had not expected, however, was that after Duru went to meet Feng Man, they had nearly come to blows that very day.

Jin Cancan was the one who had witnessed that scene. Though she did not know why Duru had argued with those two frightening children, she had heard what Duru said as he left.

"I never lay a hand on children. I won't argue with you today, but this is the first and last time!"

According to Jin Cancan, Duru had been so furious that he stamped his feet before slamming the door and leaving.

After thinking for a while, Angel guessed why Duru was angry.

Duru was exceptionally kind by nature—one could even call him a saintly fool. Back when he had faced those sea beasts, he had still gone into the sea to save those troublesome children. It was precisely because of that that he had lost one of his ears.

Angel could have saved Duru back then, but he had chosen not to. He wanted Duru to personally experience the consequences of every decision he made, in the hope that he would correct the weaknesses in his own character.

Feng Man and Gu Yina, meanwhile, were the complete opposite. They could casually kill anyone they disliked, even innocent people. The only concern they ever showed was for their own kind.

Kindness and chaos—Duru stood in stark contrast
