Angel was now on his way back to Demon Illusion Island.
Along the way, he was still considering Rhein's suggestion. According to Rhein, he had no way to contact Sanders directly either. But he could have someone deliver a message for him.
A week from now, the Frost Moon Alliance would visit Savage Cave to exchange the seventh batch of frontline supplies. At that time, a wizard from Savage Cave would also be taking supplies to the Abyss frontline. Rhein suggested that Angel seek out that wizard and ask them to carry a verbal message.
As it happened, Angel was quite familiar with that wizard's name.
—'Brutal Thorn,' Madeleine.
This wizard had only recently joined Savage Cave in her own name. She had originally belonged to a wizard family in the Guman Kingdom, but after certain upheavals, she had eventually joined Savage Cave.
Moreover, she was Babaya's mentor.
Angel believed that asking Madeleine to carry a message should not be a problem, so long as he offered an appropriate price. After all, it would only take a word from Madeleine. Many apprentices who rode teleportation arrays would also give magic crystals to formal wizards for protection; the nature of it was much the same.
However, if he had a third party deliver the message, he could not speak frankly about Jon and the Dream Wilderness. He could only ask Sanders to contact him alone.
But whether Sanders would contact him, and when he would do so, were both questions. If it took too long, it was hard to say whether Jon's physical body would be able to hold on.
That was why he was somewhat conflicted.
He recalled how, not long ago in Cloud Tower, he had learned from Rhein that sending word through another person was the only option.
