"You!"
Joseph was left speechless by Edward's retort.
He had never expected that he, once called the Incompetent King, would be accused of incompetence again.
"No matter what, without rules, there can be no challenge!"
"Hmph, the World Government respects the strong. You want to use that excuse as a shield? How foolish!"
Edward had come prepared. He took out the Den Den Mushi he had just bought from his pocket and swept his gaze across all the mages present.
"The Mage Association is a semi-official organization. Its president and vice presidents are senior officials at or above the ministerial level!"
"Under World Government law, they are supervised by the Grand Inspectorate, while the Grand Committee handles appointments, dismissals, and promotions!"
Joseph's expression changed drastically as a bad feeling rose in his heart.
"Now, I will contact the Grand Committee and apply to challenge for the position of president!"
Could Edward's method work?
It could.
Conrad had asked Minister Brownson, stationed at the World Government branch in the Black Clover World, about this as president of the Four-Leaf Clover Federation government and a world representative.
The latter was exceedingly knowledgeable in this area.
Since the Mage Association had no internal system for electing a president, they could directly apply to the superior department to compete for the position.
Of course.
Edward himself also had to possess the ability and strength to become president.
That was naturally not a problem for him.
His identity as the twentieth Wizard King was the best possible qualification.
As for his strength, that went without saying.
Sure enough.
Once the call connected and the official on the other end heard Edward's account.
The Den Den Mushi in his palm imitated the official's expression and tone as it announced:
"The Grand Committee approves Mr. Edward's application.
