Nasto, draped in a dark green cloak, leaned against the railing on the second deck.
Bored out of his mind, he watched the fellow Elf warriors below, clad in yellow cloaks, casually pacing back and forth.
Like him, they were all enjoying the relentless blazing sunlight and scorching wind that blew straight at their faces day after day.
Fortunately, everyone had long since grown used to it.
Coupled with the Elf Race's gift of eternal youth, no amount of sun exposure would affect their fair skin.
"Ah, another day no different from yesterday."
Nasto swept his gaze across the vast sea of sand. As expected, nothing had changed, and he could not help sighing.
Though he currently looked like a young man with blond hair and blue eyes, he was already eighty-three years old.
Twenty-three years ago, when he had finally come of age at sixty, his agility had allowed him to join the Elf Fleet.
The days that followed had been almost exactly like this every day.
The only change was that, thanks to his rather impressive talent for Swordsmanship, the cloak on his back had changed from yellow to green, and he had become a vice-captain.
In truth, he was merely the captain's assistant.
If he wanted to officially take command of a warship of his own, he would probably have to wait another twenty or thirty years. Among the Elf Race, whose average lifespan was twice that of humans, he was still very young.
Suddenly, a steady voice spoke from behind Nasto.
"You'd better be more careful lately. Several kingdoms on the barbarian side seem to have gone to war. The flames of war may spread to our side."
"Uh, Captain Ryder!"
Nasto immediately straightened up and answered.
A male Elf with blond
