As most of the ninjas quickly withdrew, Hanzō saw that the area had mostly cleared out and immediately crouched down to summon his giant salamander.

A massive cloud of white smoke erupted.
A brownish-gray monster resembling a fusion of a toad and a lizard slowly appeared, carrying Hanzō atop its head.
The Third Raikage merely watched expressionlessly as Hanzō made his preparations.
In the past, he might have been somewhat wary of Hanzō, but now he waited for whatever methods the other man had with the attitude of someone looking down from above.
It made him think.
Perhaps Crocodile, the admiral known as the Sand Crocodile, had viewed all of his previous attacks with a similar mindset.
The Third Raikage felt eager to test himself.
He wanted to see how far his current strength could go against these veteran powerhouses of the Shinobi World.

On the other side, as Hanzō shouted, the giant salamander beneath him opened its ugly maw and spewed forth rolling purple poison gas.
