The Fire Daimyo's palace.
It was likely the largest and most luxurious palace among the daimyo of the Five Great Nations.
It occupied nearly a third of the entire capital.
Its countless halls and pavilions were undeniably grand and magnificent even by the Shinobi World's standards.
Every courtyard was bright and spacious, lush with flowers and foliage, with even small rivers winding through them.
The daimyo of the other four nations often envied it.
But there was no helping it. The Land of Fire was simply blessed by nature in this world.
Yet now, purple mist permeated this resplendent daimyo palace, and corpses lay everywhere.
A faint but unmistakable stench of blood drifted through every corner.
[Boom!]
The sloping cypress-bark roof of the grandest main hall suddenly exploded outward under a powerful force from within.
In an instant, the entire hall collapsed, raising a thunderous roar and billowing clouds of smoke.
[Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.]
Dozens of blurred afterimages displayed extraordinary techniques as they shot out before the hall was completely reduced to rubble.
Most of them split into two groups as soon as they landed in the open space outside.
With remarkable "tacit understanding," they charged their chosen opponents and began fighting fiercely.
Both sides knew their own limits.
Especially the Samurai who could only use Chakra to enhance their bodies and weapons. They decisively and instinctively picked the ordinary CP8 members, who clearly did not look like powerful fighters, as their targets.
The ordinary CP8 members did not mind either.
Compared with the twelve imposing Guardian Shinobi,
these Samurai were obviously easier to deal with.
The credit might be much less this way, but it was safer.
The strong fought the strong, while the weak fought the weak.
It seemed to be an unspoken rule of every battlefield.
