Ivan directed the others to protect the Marines and counterattack as Xia raised shields and launched Air Arrows at the Brutes.

• A Marine armored unit escorted Ivan, Yelena, Xia, and Nova toward the spaceport to reach the First Fleet.
• Nova sensed approaching psychics moments before an attacker overturned their armored vehicle.

• Mike and Nova questioned the captured Yuri Recruit while Ivan and Hia observed from behind one-way glass.
• Nova overwhelmed the recruit with psychic pressure, and Ivan learned that her Psionic Level had reached at least nine and might be ten.
• The Yuri Recruit revealed that Yuri trained orphan students, enhanced their psychic powers with drugs, and sent them to Jiu Hai Colony using ordinary travel routes.
• The recruit explained that Yuri created Brutes with genetic engineering and a delayed-mutation agent, and that they had arrived aboard civilian airliners before the attack.
• The Yuri Recruit described Yuri’s Psionic Snipers, mind-controlling clones, replicated Umbrella vehicles, vacuum-capable equipment, Warp Engine warships, and Super Battleship before he suddenly stammered and could not continue.

Yuri Marin took control of the Yuri Recruit to speak with Mike O'Donahue and recruit Nova, then died after revealing his plans and powers. Mike brought Ivan, Nova, and Xiya to a meeting chamber, where they signed Confidentiality Agreements that he explained would bind them to the Russell Family and Ivan.

• Yuri Marin broke through Nova's control of the Yuri Recruit, offered Mike a command position in his faction, and urged Nova to join him.
• Yuri Marin said he aimed to overthrow the capitalists and revealed that he had killed his student to prevent him from exposing more information, then died as blood poured from the Yuri Recruit's face.
