Reynolds prevented the Research Station staff from opening the containment gate and took control of the security guards by revealing he had used Umbrella's Black Tyrant Enhancement Serum. He ordered the containment room incinerated, killing the Black Biologist and burning the project to ashes.

• Reynolds refused to let anyone open the gate while the project searched for a way out of containment.
