William and the Alliance defeated the Flood on the Ark, claimed control of it, and brought the Halo rings into the Solar System. Years of military expansion and technological change followed, as Ivan took on Umbrella’s leadership duties and reprimanded his son Arthur.

• Halsey warned William that the Alliance needed a deterrent against stronger civilizations, and William resolved to control the Ark and its Halo Pulse Wave.
• Serena detected a Flood fleet at the Ark, and William ordered the Alliance forces to attack while the Star Killer and Dreadnought Warships destroyed enemy ships.
• William led a team to find the Ark’s Guide, and Sorrowful Solitude teleported him and Serena into the Flood-infested underground maze to retrieve the Indexer.
• William obtained the Indexer and faced the Primordial Foundation, which explained its plan to use the Flood and Covenant fleet to bring him to the Ark and then sacrificed its body to destroy the Flood.
• Serena confirmed that the Ark was free of Flood, and William used the Indexer to move it to Jupiter’s orbit before returning the fleet to Earth.
• Umbrella took control of the seven Halo rings, developed Pulse Wave defenses and Personal Halos, expanded its fleets, and made Venus habitable through terraforming.
• William arranged Ivan’s marriage to Xiya, Nova, and Athena, while Ivan later married Megan and began taking over Umbrella’s decision-making duties.
• Ivan entered Arthur’s bedroom with Ghost Agents and Megan, where he scolded Arthur after finding him teasing the maids instead of getting ready for school.

Arthur and the Blood Raven Battle Group became stranded in the Marvel universe and intervened in the Chitauri invasion of New York. After the battle, Arthur began negotiations with the United States while keeping Umbrella’s strength restrained.

• Ivan sent Arthur to the Blood Raven Battle Group, where Carl agreed to watch over and train him during an operation against the Exiles.
• A Vortex Tunnel swept the Blood Raven Battle Group into a parallel universe, and William learned that Arthur had landed in the 2012 Solar System.
• Arthur and Carl led a reconnaissance team to Earth, identified their universe as the world of The Avengers, and prepared to help during the coming invasion.
• Arthur and Carl joined the fight in Manhattan, and two Umbrella warships arrived to support the Avengers and protect civilians.
• Freedom carried Tony Stark’s nuclear bomb through the Vortex Tunnel and destroyed the Chitauri mothership, ending the invasion.
• Arthur allowed Hydra operatives to take Loki’s Scepter and agreed to negotiate with Alexander Pierce after Thor took Loki back to Asgard.
• Arthur traveled to Washington with Carl and Blood Raven Astartes, planning to keep the Battle Group restrained while it served as his protection.

Arthur negotiated with Earth’s leaders while William brought Umbrella’s main fleet into the Marvel universe and launched a takeover of the planet. Umbrella conquered the Americas, then turned to securing Earth and preparing for the Aether Incident while William considered Wakanda’s Vibranium.

• Arthur arrived at the Triskelion with Carl and the Blood Ravens, then faced government officials who argued over his presence and demanded Umbrella’s weapons and technology.
• When Ross tried to detain Arthur, the Blood Ravens entered the conference room and Arthur restrained Ross, and Fury and Pierce later agreed to discuss Arthur’s freedom of movement.
• Arthur and Carl grew closer, and Carl promised to consider dating him after they handled Umbrella’s supplies and information needs, and Arthur also gained Rogers’s trust by describing Umbrella’s containment work.
• William reunited with Arthur after Umbrella’s fleet entered the Marvel universe, then prepared to negotiate with Earth’s governments and accepted Arthur’s relationship with Carl.
• At Monument Square, William announced Umbrella would replace the existing governments and accused Pierce of leading Hydra, and Heros killed Pierce, and Umbrella’s forces subdued the remaining leaders and resistance.
• Umbrella captured Washington’s leaders and occupied North and South America by January 2, 2013, while William ordered captured officials and soldiers to sign Confidentiality Agreements.
• William accepted The Ancient One’s offer to help defend the Sanctums against Dormammu, and planned to make Earth a secure base for Umbrella’s campaign across the Marvel universe.
• After learning Tony Stark and Bruce Banner might have gone to Wakanda, William declined to attack it and agreed with Halsey that Umbrella should consolidate its territories and prioritize the Aether Incident.

Arthur brought Rogers into Umbrella, then led Heros and a force to Asgard to stop the Dark Elf invasion and secure cooperation over the Reality Stone. After returning to Earth with Jane and the stone, Arthur prepared to pursue the remaining Infinity Stones and confront Thanos.

• Arthur showed Rogers evidence that Bucky was the brainwashed Winter Soldier, and Rogers joined Umbrella before confronting his old friend at the bunker.
• Arthur captured Bucky, exposed Doctor Zola’s revelations about Hydra and the Stark murders, and returned to Washington as Umbrella expanded its rule across Earth.
• Arthur took Heros and Umbrella forces to London, where Jane’s encounter with Thor revealed a threat tied to the Aether, and Thor brought them to Asgard.
• Arthur identified the Aether as the Reality Stone and warned Odin of the Dark Elf invasion, while Heros stopped a prison break and killed the Cursed Warrior.
• Heros destroyed the Dark Elf mothership, then joined Gabriel and Vadim’s forces in defeating the invaders, while Arthur cautioned him against becoming cruel through violence.
• Arthur and Odin agreed that Umbrella would protect the Reality Stone and pursue the Soul and Power Stones, with Asgard providing the coordinates and a guide.
• Arthur returned to Earth with Heros and the others, and Halsey extracted the Reality Stone from Jane and placed it beside the Mind Stone.
• Arthur planned to collect the remaining Infinity Stones and deal with Thanos after William gave him authority over Avengers matters, while Thor asked whether Arthur wanted help.
