"Good grief, this must be my first time watching a live 'mother-and-son' show, right? Ugh... It's kind of disgusting."
Still wearing black pajamas and sprawled limply across the sofa, William couldn't stop shuddering as he watched the scene on television. He didn't forget to complain to Serena, who was sitting beside him.
This time, at William's special request, Serena had changed into an oversized white shirt to serve as pajamas. It was faintly revealing, perfectly displaying what a boss's personal secretary should look like.
As for the scene on television, it was none other than Madelyn and Homelander making inappropriate physical contact.
Several days earlier, William had dispatched Ghost Agents to infiltrate the eighty-second and ninety-ninth floors of Vought Tower. They had installed concealed cameras throughout the main areas.
The eighty-second floor housed Edgar's office, while the ninety-ninth was occupied by The Seven. Those two locations were certain to receive the Ghost Agents' attention.
"Hehe~" While William was teasing her, Serena, sitting to his left, covered her mouth and said with a laugh:
"William, that's the pot calling the kettle black. At least Homelander's object of affection is human. I'm an Artificial Intelligence. I don't even count as a human being."
"It's not the same." William waved his hand, unwilling to argue with Serena about ethics, and said:
"Madelyn really is a ruthless woman. On the surface, she had Starlight and Maeve approach Heros, but in reality, she wanted to take advantage of Heros being away and have Homelander kill me directly. Tsk tsk, no wonder she's such a strong woman."
When William said this, he looked as though he had expected Madelyn to send Homelander to assassinate him from the start.
