"Eren, did you defeat the Colossal Titan?"
"No. Just like five years ago, it suddenly disappeared."
Eren returned to the top of the wall in frustration. Since the Titan had vanished, he naturally had to reunite with his comrades immediately.
"Sorry, I let it get away."
The companions before Eren awkwardly tried to comfort him. Eren had been the first to react and the only brave one to pursue it. They had merely stood there staring.
"Why are you apologizing to us? We were all too scared to move just now."
"Hey, is this the time to be talking about that? The wall has been breached. If we don't seal the gap quickly, the Titans will come in again."
As Connie urged everyone to prepare for battle, the sound of Maneuver Gear activating came from nearby.
"What are you doing here? Emergency operations for the Colossal Titan's appearance have already begun. Return to headquarters immediately. Anyone who came into contact with it, don't forget to submit a report."
"Yes!"
Cold sweat ran down Connie's face. "May the advance unit win a swift victory!"
Clear, ringing bells had already begun to sound from the tall buildings, warning the people to evacuate.
The Garrison Regiment soldiers standing at higher ground wore grim expressions. One of them stood atop a crate and shouted, "Please carry as few valuables as possible and remain calm while evacuating."
Soldiers had already lowered rope nets at the breached gate. Though they would not be very effective, they were still far better than having nothing at all.
"If this place is breached, the tragedy from five years ago will repeat itself. We must stop the Titans here! Prepare the artillery!"
Only part of the artillery platforms had been destroyed by the Colossal Titan. Rails ran along the entire
