"Armin, can you hear me? How are your injuries? Can you still move? Mina? Your eyes are bleeding—is that internal damage? Where is everyone else?"
By the time the soldiers approached, only two people were left here.
Everyone else was gone.
There had been ten of them when they arrived.
"I'm so useless. Let me die."
Armin could not accept it. He truly wanted to die just like this.
After all, he had watched Eren get eaten right before his eyes, yet he had been completely unable to move.
"Hey, stop asking, Connie. Everyone in their squad is dead. An eighty percent casualty rate... I really don't know how to comfort them."
"Don't talk nonsense. Armin hasn't said anything yet."
"One look around is enough to tell. We don't have time to chat with this guy anymore."
Connie looked at Armin, then at Mina. Both had suffered severe injuries that affected their mobility. Yet they still had their own duties to carry out, so there was no way they could help move them.
"Let's go. We need to carry out our mission too. Running into several Titans at once is certainly unfortunate.
"But only this poor student survived? That really makes you want to complain. Eren and the others died for absolutely nothing."
Connie grew angry at her words. "Hey, bitch, want me to make sure you can never speak again?"
Christa hurriedly stepped between them. "Don't do this, you two. Everyone feels the same way. So many companions died all at once... there was nothing we could do."
Connie sighed and walked over to Armin. "Can you stand, Armin?"
Armin took a deep breath, then gritted his teeth and stood. As long as he used his Nen ability to regulate his energy, he could still suppress his injuries.
