Background

Fu Xuan serves as the Xianzhou Luofu's Supreme Diviner and has long sought the General's position. Jing Yuan recognizes her as a future General candidate, while Qing Que is considered the most viable successor to Fu Xuan's current post should she ascend. 32 357

When Kiana is reduced to a child-like form, Fu Xuan and Qing Que encounter her alone. Fu Xuan brings Kiana to the Divination Department and later takes her into her home, becoming her guardian. She privately resolves to raise Kiana as both family and a potential successor. 38 40 44

Fu Xuan teaches Kiana divination and etiquette, though Kiana proves far more naturally gifted in music and art than divination. Even so, Fu Xuan sees Kiana's spatial abilities and unusual potential as assets that could make her an exceptional Supreme Diviner. 46 47 53

During the Jianmu crisis, Fu Xuan manages the Divination Department's response to Mara-struck incidents and attacks on the Craftsmanship Department. She refuses to let Kiana rush recklessly into danger, insisting that the Divination Department has its own duty while the Cloud-to-Guard handles the front line. 51

After Jing Yuan becomes unable to perform his duties, Fu Xuan temporarily assumes the General's responsibilities. She handles both the Divination Department and the Cloud-to-Guard, refining the latter's reporting procedures so incidents are immediately relayed to both the department and the General. 61 251

Fu Xuan later takes leave after deciding that the Luofu can function without her constant labor. On returning from the Jade Palace Xianzhou, she discovers that Kiana's influence has driven the Divination Department into exhausting overwork, as its members voluntarily took on Fu Xuan's usual workload. 215 315 316

In a later displacement, Fu Xuan finds herself at a point before the Astral Express arrives at the Luofu. She immediately uses her future knowledge and divination to identify the coming Jianmu turmoil and orders an investigation into Mara-struck incidents at Liuyun Crossing and the Star Skiff Sea hub. 354
