Cypher was aboard an official royal cruise ship, traveling from Britain to France.

On the top deck, Cypher rested both arms on the railing and gazed out at the boundless sea before him.
Seabirds were nearly nowhere to be seen over the deep waters, while wave after wave struck the ship's hull with an unceasing roar.
Only then did the sights and sounds remind everyone that this was not a painting.
Naturally, Cypher was not admiring the almost unchanging seascape. He was considering another answer Lady Diana had given him.
