"Newt, we were really being far too rude..."
"Indeed, I also felt terribly ashamed... We'd even done it ourselves—what's wrong, Cypher? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Cypher had been holding a hide map, chatting with Newt while searching for the approximate location on a Muggle world map.
When he heard Newt about to say something about eating river crabs, he looked up at him with a horrified expression.
"I trust that my knowledge of Magical Creatures is correct."
Seeing Cypher stare at him in stunned silence and failing to understand what Cypher meant, Newt simply ignored him and racked his brains to recall the details of his meeting with Thea Soro.
"I'm certain that the black panther she transformed into as an Animagus was male!"
After a moment of silence, Newt's furrowed brow relaxed, and he delivered his conclusion in a firm tone.
"In other words, judging from Thea Soro's appearance alone, you also think she's a boy?"
"Yes... Even now, I believe she's a boy. The title Holy Maiden is nothing more than a position."
Newt clenched his right fist and slammed it heavily into his left palm.
You even called her a Holy Maiden... and you still firmly believe she's a boy...
Cypher's thoughts were a mess. Then, he suddenly thought of something.
"Newt, I have a very serious question to ask you."
Newt put away his exaggerated expression and looked at him solemnly.
Cypher took a deep breath and asked in a grave tone.
"Must a wizard's sex be the same as the sex of the creature they transform into as an Animagus?"
At the question, Newt abruptly stopped. A breeze swept across the vast grasslands, stirring his heavy fringe and fluttering robes.
Newt had met very few wizards who had mastered Animagus transformation.
