The flames on the torches slanted along both sides of the corridor kept dancing, casting an unsteady, flickering light.

The girl hooked her arm through Cypher's, their intimate shadows stretching across the floor.

When the clacking footsteps came to a halt, the two of them had arrived outside Cypher's dormitory.

Cypher opened the door, and the girl followed close behind.

Creak—click—

"My name is Cypher Corvin! And you are...?" Cypher had plenty of questions. The moment the door closed, he could not wait to speak first.

"Aiweng Grey! Just call me Aiweng!" The girl—Aiweng—had no intention of hiding it and directly gave Cypher her name.

However, she no longer carried the composed, unhurried air she had displayed outside, as though everything were under her control.

The moment she entered the room, she looked around at her surroundings.

Hearing Cypher's question, she hurriedly turned back with a smile, then strode toward the desk beside Cypher's bed.

"We can talk after this. Come over and give me a hand first!"

Aiweng had Cypher move the desk to the center of the room, then reached into her chest. After fumbling around, she pulled out bottle after bottle.

So she really was brewing a potion. Otherwise, would it not have been easier and more convenient to move the desk with magic? Potions were different, though. If a potion had exacting requirements, or if one used an accelerated brewing technique, then the less external magical interference there was, the better!

In other words, the containers holding the potion and any objects that came into close contact with it could not carry magical traces, including those from the Solidifying Charm, Summoning Charm, Transfiguration, and all sorts of other magic.

"Sorry! I'm in a hurry! Can you give me a drop of your blood?!"
