The force of their collision shook the entire Little Garden.
The volcano erupted violently, its blasts booming all around like cannon salutes.
Vast amounts of volcanic ash surged into the sky, slowly obscuring most of the sunlight above the clouds.
The sky darkened.
At the center of the tremendous disturbance, the veins bulged on Dorry's sword-wielding arm, clearly revealing the surging force within it.
He stared down in astonishment at Maud, who had firmly caught his strike, seemingly unable to accept what he was seeing.
The Giant Race's greatest pride was possessing strength superior to that of any other race.
Yet after sweeping his sword down, he had not forced Maud back even an inch.
In other words, in a direct clash with Maud, his strength had failed to give him the slightest advantage.
That made no sense.
Just minutes ago, he had clearly seen Maud sent flying by Brogy's axe...
Although Maud had shown signs of deliberately deflecting the force, Brogy had truly overwhelmed Maud in strength.
And Brogy's strength was on par with his own.
Therefore, even if this horizontal slash could not injure Maud, it should at least have forced him back.
No matter how astonished and confused Dorry was, he could never have imagined that Maud possessed an ability like Hunter's Notebook.
Even less could he have imagined that Maud's physique, strength, and Haki had all increased dramatically in just a few seconds.
Clack, clack...
The blade and sword were locked tightly against each other.
Maud and Dorry fought with all their might.
The strength they each poured into the clash caused their weapons to scrape against each other, sending sparks flying.
Realizing that he could not suppress Maud with strength, Dorry took the initiative to retreat and withdraw his sword, ending this meaningless blade clash.
