The mastermind behind it returned safely to the Nightfall Bar.
Tatam changed into his uniform and became an unassuming bartender once more.
After asking for Tatam's opinion, Maud plopped down in a chair.
Since Tatam, the owner of the bar, didn't mind the bloodstains, Maud saw no reason to be polite.
"Got any cigarettes?"
Tonight's haul had been satisfying, and Maud couldn't help wanting a post-battle smoke.
Tatam nodded, then took a cigarette and a lighter from the drawer, as if it contained everything.
Maud couldn't help glancing at Tatam's drawer. He then took the cigarette, lit it, and started smoking.
This body wasn't addicted to cigarettes. One smoke now might set him on an irreversible path again.
But Maud didn't care in the slightest.
You only lived once, so you had to do what you liked.
Maud smoked leisurely.
Tatam was mixing him a drink.
As for Wolf Rat, he had gone upstairs to tend to his injuries as soon as he returned to the bar.
