Underground Arena
Quiet room.
On the mottled wooden wall hangs a calligraphy scroll with only the character 'Zen' on it.
On a wooden shelf in the corner, wisps of smoke curled from an incense burner.
Sitting nearby, Luo Yan could smell the sandalwood scent in the air.
He sat with his sword clasped behind him, his eyes fixed straight ahead.
It resembles a stone statue.
In another room, Zhang Ze squinted as he looked at Luo Yan through a screen.
Then, smiling, he walked into the quiet room.
"Brother Red Demon, you've finally arrived! I've been waiting for ages, I thought you'd forgotten all about this."
Luo Yan then raised his head.
Zhang Ze was still dressed as an old man, seemingly unwilling to show his true face.
Luo Yan didn't care.
To him, even if Zhang Ze disguised himself as a woman, Luo Yan would still be able to recognize him.
Zhang Ze sat down in a Grand Tutor's Chair.
A pretty young woman brought over two cups of tea.
Luo Yan didn't touch it.
Only said.
"I need money."
Zhang Ze laughed heartily, "No problem."
"I happen to have a job here that can earn you money."
Luo Yan looked at him.
Zhang Ze smiled and said, "Underground Arena."
"For every win, I'll give you 100,000 work points."
"If you win, I'll give you one million."
"If only you could kill one more person for me at the end."
I'll give you this amount.
He held up one finger. "Ten million!"
Luo Yan remained silent.
After a moment, he nodded. "Very tempting."
"First, let's talk about the arena. What are the rules?"
Zhang Ze shook his head. "There are no rules. The only rule is to kill your opponent."
"Of course, if the opponent is willing to surrender, you are willing to accept it."
"That's not necessarily a bad thing."
"Apart from that, there are no other rules."
Luo Yan asked again, "Whom do you want to kill?"
Zhang Ze smiled and said, "It's too early to talk about these things now. I'll tell you when you win the final victory."
Luo Yan said very readily, "I'll pay you 50,000 upfront, and the remaining 50,000 after the first match."
"No problem." Zhang Ze thought to himself, I'm not afraid of your greed, I'm just afraid you won't be greedy enough.
Luo Yan showed her an anonymous bank account, which Zeng Guangming had set up for her.
Take out a new phone.
A moment later, I received a message on my phone.
50,000 work points earned!
Luo Yan put away his phone and stood up. "When can we have the match?"
"Tonight!"
"Now!"
Zhang Ze clapped his hands, and Wen Zou, dressed in a purple robe and with his hair tied in a Daoist bun, walked out.
"Take the Red Demon brothers to the Vermilion Building."
Wen Zou nodded and smiled, "Brother Chi Gui, please."
Luo Yan, carrying his sword, followed the fake Taoist away.
After they left.
Wei Junyi appeared, glanced at Zhang Ze, and said softly, "Captain."
"Isn't the Vermilion Building area Team 1's territory?"
Zhang Ze took a small sip of tea.
He said calmly.
"That's right."
"That woman, Yu Qiushui, likes to use Underground Arena to attract new blood."
"If Red Demon wins in the Underground Arena, Yu Qiushui will definitely recruit him."
"Then I'll be able to use the Crimson Demon sword to cut off Yu Qiushui's head!"
Wei Junyi frowned.
I thought to myself.
If the Red Oni chopped off the head of the Team 1 leader, would he still be alive?
Zhang Ze didn't look up, but as if he could see his expression, he spoke.
"Junyi, I know you're not feeling well."
"I feel like I owe the Red Demon a life."
"But those who achieve great things must not be bothered by trifles."
"This matter concerns my chances of becoming the branch manager, so you..."
"Don't ruin my plans."
Wei Junyi only bow his head and reply, "Yes."

Inside the car, Luo Yan held his sword silently.
The windows reflected the bright lights and bustling activity of the city.
Not long after.
The car stopped.
Wen Zou, standing beside him, chuckled and said, "Brother Chi Gui, we've arrived at Vermilion Building."
get off.
Luo Yan looked up.
Before me stood a small wooden building, indeed painted vermilion, but it didn't look like a place for Underground Arena.
Wen Zou smiled and said, "This Underground Arena is naturally underground."
Just then, a short man jogged over and bowed and scraped to Wen Zou.
Wen Zou covered his mouth and nose with his sleeve, looking disgusted, and then said a few words to the man.
Then he said to Luo Yan, "Brother Chi Gui, go in with him. Everything has been arranged for you."
"Come on."
After the fake Taoist finished speaking, he got into the car, seemingly not wanting to stay a moment longer.
Luo Yan looked down at the man beside him.
The man smiled obsequiously and said, "Brother, how should I address you? You don't need your real name, a nickname will do."
"This is for your registration."
Luo Yan said calmly, "Red Demon."
"Alright, Brother Red Demon, come with me."
They entered the wooden building, and a moment later, they were underground.
It's surprisingly spacious here.
White light tubes are everywhere.
The environment was extremely noisy.
Shouts, curses, cheers.
The sound kept ringing out.
The pungent smell of cigarettes mixed with the cheap scent of perfume gave me a headache.
In the center, there is a ten-meter square arena.
The arena was covered by an iron cage, made of solid steel bars as thick as an adult's arm welded together.
If they don't let them through, it will be very difficult for the people inside to get out.
There are hundreds of seats of varying heights around the arena.
In each of the four corners of the audience area, there was a small stage where young women were performing erotic dances.
To provide entertainment for the audience before the fight begins.
Above the arena, there is a skystand. Looking through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see sofas, wine cabinets, and other items inside.
But now, the stands are empty, and all the lights are off.
"Red Demon Brothers, over here."
The short man led Luo Yan to a lounge and asked him to wait.
A moment later, the short man arrived with a man in a white suit and a gold chain.
"Brother Ji, that's him."
"Red ghost."
The man known as ' Brother Ji ' glanced at Luo Yan: 'Is this any good? Your eyes look fierce, but you're way too green, aren't you?'
"It doesn't matter anymore. Once we're in the ring, life and death are up to fate."
"Kid, get ready, you'll be on stage in 5 minutes."
Five minutes passed quickly.
He was wearing a cloak and a hood, and carrying a long sword.
As Luo Yan was led by staff to the outside of the ring, several scantily clad, fragrant young women rubbed and groped him, using the most primal actions to arouse the emotions of the audience.
Finally, they held up an electronic board with the words 'Red Demon' flashing on it.
"Ladies and gentlemen!"
"This is our challenger tonight, the intimidating 'Red Demon'!"
"He will be challenging Feng Tai, the Iron Fist of our tenth arena, who has already killed five challengers in a row!"
While the host was introducing Luo Yan...
The audience all gave Luo Yan the middle finger and shouted insults.
"What red ghost, white ghost, little devil, go home and suckle your mother's milk!"
"Red Demon, eat shit!"
"Quickly kneel down and beg ' Iron Fist ' to spare you, and maybe you can still go back alive."
Insults, sarcasm, and ridicule.
Luo Yan remained unmoved.
Like a clay bodhisattva without a temper.
At this moment.
A man walked out from the other side of the field.
The other man was shirtless, his body bulging with muscles, and he wore a pair of Iron Glove.
As soon as he comes out.
The audience erupted in a tsunami of cheers.
"Feng Tai!"
"Feng Tai!"
"Victory is certain! Victory is certain!"
