Daoist Zhunti and Daoist Jieyin sat on meditation cushions, their gazes sweeping over the disciples below.
Although they had suffered heavy losses through several alliances, most of their direct disciples were still sitting here safe and sound.
That alone was enough to comfort them!
Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti exchanged a glance, then suddenly broke into smiles.
Maitreya looked at the two Saints in surprise and cautiously asked, "Could it be that the two Saints have some happy news? Why are you so delighted?"
The other disciples, however, did not dare speak carelessly.
After all, during the recent Four Sages Alliance operation, the Western Teachings had lost quite a substantial number of elite disciples!
"According to the Dao Ancestor, although the Human Race will be the protagonist of the prehistoric universe in the future, the Western Teachings are destined to flourish. We may even become the existence that rules over the Human Race."
Daoist Zhunti's words immediately filled the disciples below with joy!
This was absolutely wonderful news.
"If nothing unexpected happens, many disciples of the Human Sect and Chan Sect will also be incorporated into the system of our Western Teachings."
Daoist Jieyin stroked his beard with a smile.
"This will allow our Western Teachings to develop more rapidly while preserving some strength for the Human Sect and Chan Sect."
The eyes of the disciples below grew increasingly bright!
They understood the implication: the Human Sect and Chan Sect would inevitably decline in the future. They might all become subsidiaries of the Western Teachings, or even be completely swallowed up by them.
Yet after their eyes brightened, an immense sense of crisis arose in their hearts!
