Oscar had a pair of captivating peach-blossom eyes, but a rather comical ring of beard around his chin. He looked handsome, yet carried an air of roguishness.
Most outrageous of all, he had half a pink sausage dangling from his mouth.
That appearance was absolutely something else.
Food System Soul Master, Oscar.
Sure enough, he was exactly like in the original story, naturally carrying a sleazy yet hilarious aura.
When Oscar saw Dai Mubai, he was just about to complain.
Then his gaze shifted and landed on Han Yuchen behind Dai Mubai.
He froze, and the sausage in his mouth nearly fell out.
"Boss, where did you kidnap this Sickly Child from?"
His voice was filled with undisguised confusion.
"He looks like he'd topple over in a gust of wind. Are you sure he's a treasure and not someone here to scam you?"
Dai Mubai's face was brimming with pride.
He yanked Han Yuchen out from behind him, patted his little shoulder, and animatedly embellished the "feat" from the shop.
"...You didn't see it! Just one look! That eight-hundred-Gold-Soul-Coin Gale Ring was no different from trash in his eyes!"
"He talked about energy circuits and conversion rates like he knew them inside out!"
"I dare say there isn't another monster like him anywhere on the entire continent!"
After hearing that, Oscar's expression became even stranger.
He circled Han Yuchen twice as though examining some rare animal.
His gaze was full of scrutiny and disbelief.
He chuckled, his peach-blossom eyes brimming with teasing.
"Boss, you didn't get conned, did you?"
"This little bean sprout? He understands Soul Tools? Has he even been weaned yet?"
Dai Mubai was so angry he glared at him.
"What the hell do you know? This is called hiding one's true abilities!"
Han Yuchen understood perfectly well.
