Snap! Snap!
As the sound rang out, Pandora gripped both ends of Tinwood and began exerting force again, preparing to snap him in two.
"Wait!" Tinwood shouted helplessly and despairingly at Richard. "Wait, kid, I... I agree to your demands! I'll work entirely your way, isn't that enough?"
Click!
Richard, who had not gone far, stopped and raised a hand to prevent Pandora from doing anything further. He looked at Tinwood and said, "If you'd done this sooner, wouldn't we have saved a lot of time?"
"What's the use of saving time? I'd still be working for you," Tinwood muttered. Looking at Richard, he said irritably, "Hmph, kid, I understand now. You know I treasure my life greatly, so you're exploiting me without any limits, aren't you? You're really devious!"
"Devious?" Richard did not quite agree. "Not really. Right now, I'm negotiating with you openly and honestly. I know you want to live, so I'm openly using that to pressure you. That isn't devious, because I've laid everything out in the open."
"Hmph, hmph..." Tinwood was left speechless. He had nothing to say, merely making disgruntled noises through his nose.
Clap!
Richard lightly clapped his hands together and said, "All right. Since you've agreed to my demands, let's discuss things properly. The content of the work has already been decided. What we need to determine next is the duration."
"Kid, how long do you want to torment me?" Tinwood quickly asked, taking the matter very seriously. To him, a slightly worse work environment or a somewhat heavier workload was nothing. As a Long-Lived Species, it was nearly impossible for him to be worked to death. What mattered was making sure he would not have to keep doing this forever.
In his eyes, three years of this would be about right.
